Domaine des Deux Clés is situated in the beautiful village of Fontjoncouse, nestled amongst the geologically diverse, clay/limestone dominated vineyards of the Hautes-Corbières in the Aude department of France. The winery was founded by Florian and Gaëlle Richter who originally met in Burgundy (where Gaëlle is from) in 2009 whilst honing their winemaking skills, the couple have been inseparable ever since. Aware that they needed to broaden their experience to realise their dream of starting their own estate winery, Florian and Gaëlle then spent a few years making wine across some of the world’s most famous regions, returning in 2012 and settling in the Languedoc.

The stars finally aligned in 2015 when they were presented with the opportunity to buy 12.5 hectares of ancient vineyard around Fontjoncouse (also known for the incredible 3 star restaurant Auberge du Vieux Puits). From the start Florian and Gaëlle had a strong determination to work in harmony with nature, maintaining plant health and fostering maximum grape quality. The approach in the cellar is equally fastidious with multiple sorts at harvest time, wild fermentation and gentle extractions whilst also respecting the traditions of the region by not neglecting concentration.
