A vodka inspired by the only bread to attain protected designation of origin status, Pane di Altamura. The exceptional and historical durum wheat used delivers amazing flavours across the palate. Initially nutty with hints of soft spice and a distinctive umami flavour, it slowly gives way to citrus notes before moving towards a finish which is soft and creamy.

Serving Recommendations

Any well-made cocktail serve that showcases the simple elegance of the grains gets our vote. Altamura vodka shines in a classic martini - the original Savoy recipe is a founder's favourite - with three parts of vodka mixed with one part of a great dry vermouth. We like Carpano or Noilly Prat, and a dash of orange bitters, stirred and served with a lemon peel.

Three Americans, having moved to Puglia and discovering this incredible 2,000-year-old bread, decided it was a vodka waiting to happen! Altamura vodka was born, made using the exact heritage grains required to be used in the bread, sourced from a single family who have been farming the fields of Altamura for four generations.
