Desi Sour

A sour cocktail that celebrates flavours of India. It is only right that a vodka inspired by India is used to create a cocktail that pairs beautifully with the flavours, colours and aromas of indian cuisine.


  • 50 ml Desi Daru Vodka
  • 25 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • Pinch of saffron
  • 10 ml Strega Liqueur
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • Ice cubes
  • Cherry for garnish


  1. Prepare: fill a tumbler with ice cubes.
  2. Infuse: in a shaker, muddle the saffron with the Desi Daru Vodka.
  3. Combine: add 25 ml of freshly squeezed lime juice, 15 ml of simple syrup and 10 ml of Strega Liqueur.
  4. Crush: lightly crush the cardamom pods and add them to the shaker.
  5. Shake: vigorously shake the mixture in the shaker.
  6. Strain: strain the cocktail into the prepared tumbler over fresh ice cubes.
  7. Garnish: place a maraschino cherry on the rim of the tumbler.
  8. Enjoy this aromatic cocktail!
