Cachaça Artisans

Now run by the family's fifth generation, the distillery makes artisanal cachaça using wild yeast strains in small batches with hand-cut sugar cane that is crushed the same day it is harvested. The processes used are as environmentally sustainable as possible: for example it uses waste products to power the furnaces and re-distilling the heads and tails of the spirit to make bio-fuels.
