Black Robin Rare Gin has a complex nose of candied lemon and lime zest, leading to a gentle botanical mix of chervil, watercress, parsley and mint that mixes with an exceptional delicacy of liquorice root and star anise to finish. On the palate, lemongrass and lime zest are followed by grassy botanicals and liquorice root and star anise spices.

A rare spirit

In the 1980s, the Chatham Island's Black Robin was on the threat of extinction with 5 birds alive of which only 1 was female. But due to tireless conservation work, a flock of more than 250 birds currently live on the Chatham Islands, all related back to that sole female named Old Blue.

We make a donation to our charity partner with each bottle of Black Robin Rare Gin sold, helping them in their work to protect New Zealand's native species and wild places.
