Crafting Colorado Spirit

Founded in 2008 by Karen Hoskin, Montanya Rum is a Colorado-based craft distillery known for its natural ingredients, mountain-aged process, and commitment to sustainability. Using Louisiana sugar cane fermented from fresh juice, Montanya’s rums are distilled in small batches with copper pot stills in Crested Butte and aged in American white oak barrels that previously held Laws Colorado Whiskey. Occasionally, a touch of local Colorado honey is added to enhance the rum’s natural flavors. As a certified B-Corp, Montanya avoids added sugars, artificial flavors, and colors, while fostering equity and inclusivity in its workplace and community. The result is a vibrant, authentic rum that reflects both the spirit of the mountains and a dedication to quality and sustainability.
