This Single Malt Irish Whiskey has been matured in the finest ex bourbon oak casks before being transferred to casks previously used to mature Pedro Ximenez sherry. Pedro Ximenez, also known as P.X., is a variety of grape used in the making of a sweet wine in the southern regions of Spain. It is one of the darkest sherry types available and gives the whiskey a dark amber colour and rich fruity influence.
