More on this Wine

100% Fendant (known as Chasselas outside of the Valais region) the iconic Swiss white grape. It’s rare to find much of this grape outside of Switzerland, but it is their most planted grape variety.

The grapes are hand harvested and made into wine with gentle winemaking techniques that allow the aromatics and minerality to shine through in the finished wine.

It works excellently paired with appetisers or cheese dishes like raclette.

From the heart of the Alps

Les Celliers de Vétroz is a boutique winery founded by the Fontannaz family nestled in the hills of Valais, the largest wine region in the heart of the Alps in Switzerland.

Our vineyards cover 5 hectares on south facing steep slopes, between 500 and 700 metres above sea level in a so-called alpine terroir with mineral-rich soil, marl and limestone. We have 76 plots, some are old vines from 1974 and we grow 13 different grapes over 5 hectares, mostly local, Fendant, Amigne, Petite Arvine, Humagne Rouge and Cornalin.
