This simple Rhubarb Martini made with Bertha's Revenge Irish Milk Gin is summer in a glass.
Ingredients
60 ml Bertha’s Revenge Irish Milk Gin
30 ml fresh rhubarb juice
15 ml simple syrup (adjust to taste)
15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
Ice cubes
Rhubarb slices or twists for garnish
Method
Prepare rhubarb juice: Wash and chop rhubarb into small pieces, blend until smooth and strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to extract the juice. Discard the pulp.
Prepare simple syrup: In a saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar, heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow the simple syrup to cool before using.
Mix: In a cocktail shaker, add 60 ml of Bertha’s Revenge Irish Milk Gin, 30 ml fresh rhubarb juice, 15 ml simple syrup and 15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
Shake: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
Strain: Using a strainer, pour the mixture from the shaker into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish: add a slice or twist of fresh rhubarb.Serve the Rhubarb Martini immediately while it’s cold.Enjoy the tartness of fresh rhubarb in this delicious, summery cocktail!
