From The Producers…
At Devon Rum Co., we believe that great rum should be more than just a drink - it should tell a story, evoke a feeling, and transport you to a place where the sea breeze is fresh, the sun is warm, and the spirit of adventure is alive.
How It All Began
Our journey started in March 2020, with a simple but bold idea: to create a premium range of artisan rums, inspired by the heritage and lifestyle of Devon. Our Founder David Seear wanted to bring something new and exciting to the UK rum scene - a handcrafted, high-quality drink that captures the spirit of the South West.
In those early days, Dave carefully sourced a unique blend of the finest pot and column distilled Caribbean rums. He then added a super soft Devonian spring water, as well as his secret recipe of whole aromatic spices, fresh citrus, and natural flavourings to create our Premium Spiced Rum - the first product in our range.
The response was incredible. Within months, we had built a loyal community of rum lovers, and our reputation as one of the South West’s most exciting craft spirit brands began to grow.
Fast forward to the present and we have a range of four award-winning artisan rums - including our best-selling Honey Spiced Rum - championed by thousands of rum fans across the UK.
In the last two years, we have also launched our new Headquarters on Island Street in Salcombe, which includes a dedicated Rum Store and Cocktail Bar, alongside our Blending House, which is always open to the public, allowing them to see our craft first-hand.
