This International Women’s Day 2025 on the 8th March, we’re raising a glass to the incredible female producers, distillers, brewers, and innovators who are driving the industry forward. From crafting world-class spirits to leading ground-breaking research and championing sustainable practices, these women are redefining the future of drinks.

Mothaiba (Liliane Nguyen)
Mothaiba Pandan Vodka is a celebration of Asian Flavours, distilled into a bold and aromatic spirit. Sustainably crafted in the UK, it offers a unique sensory experience - familiar to some, an introduction to others. At it's heart is a deep connection to heritage, reinterpreted in a refined and modern way.
The inspiration behind Mothaiba comes from its founder, Liliane Nguyen, who longed for the nostalgic flavours of her childhood but found them mostly confined to traditional confectionery. She wanted to elevate these tastes into something more sophisticated—a spirit that could capture the essence of those familiar aromas while offering a fresh and elegant drinking experience. With a passion for craft and a desire for the perfect martini, she set out to create a vodka like no other.
Mothaiba—named after the Vietnamese toast “Mot Hai Ba!”—is distilled using British grain vodka, expertly redistilled with fresh pandan leaves imported from Vietnam. Infused with makrut lime leaves, lime zest, and ginger, it delivers a crisp, refreshing flavour with earthy, biscuit-like notes from the pandan. While perfect for a martini, its versatility shines in a summery spritz with pomelo or a tropical cocktail in the depths of winter—paper umbrella optional.

The Heart Cut (Georgie Bell)
The Heart Cut is the brainchild of Georgie Bell, a seasoned drinks industry expert with a deep-rooted passion for whisky, cocktails, and travel. Launched in 2023 alongside her husband, former bartender Fabrizio Leoni, The Heart Cut is a celebration of global whisky culture, bringing together their shared love of discovering exceptional spirits and hidden gems from around the world.
For Georgie, whisky has been more than just a career—it’s been a lifelong journey of exploration. Having spent years immersed in the industry, she has travelled the world visiting distilleries as others would museums, always seeking out the next great dram. From Australia to India, Mexico to Denmark, whisky is now made in over 100 countries, each with its own story to tell and passionate makers behind it. But for those eager to explore these new frontiers, knowing where to start can be overwhelming. That’s where The Heart Cut comes in.
With her expertise and keen eye for exceptional spirits, Georgie has curated a platform designed to take the guesswork out of discovering world whisky. The Drinks Bureau (Frankie Snobel)
The Drinks Bureau is the brainchild of Frankie Snobel, a trailblazing entrepreneur, trained mixologist, and cocktail innovator with a passion for bringing bar-quality drinks to a wider audience.
