Braastad Cognac: Norwegian Heart, French Soul since 1875

Braastad is the international face of Maison Tiffon, a family Cognac house founded in 1875 on the banks of the Charente in Jarnac. Its Franco-Norwegian story began when Sverre Braastad, born in Gjøvik, Norway, travelled to Cognac, entered the trade and married Edith Rousseau, heir to the Tiffon family, in 1913. From Château de Triac, the Braastad family continues to make Cognac with a rare degree of control, from vines and distillation to ageing and blending in family cellars. Today, the house remains known for authentic, estate-led Cognacs that over-deliver on age, quality and character, combining Charente tradition with the family’s Norwegian heritage.
