Classic Caipirinha

The iconic Brazilian cocktail and exactly what cachaça is made for. Muddle in plenty of lime or try with a whole number of other fruits. Let the spirit of Brazil guide you.


  • 50 ml Yaguara Organic Cachaça
  • 2 teaspoons demerara sugar
  • 1 lime
  • Ice cubes


  1. Prepare the Lime:
    Wash the lime thoroughly, cut it into wedges, and remove the pith from the center.
  2. Muddle with Sugar:
    In a sturdy glass, muddle the lime wedges with 2 teaspoons of demerara sugar. Ensure you press gently to extract the lime’s juice without making it too bitter.
  3. Add Cachaça:
    Pour 50 ml of Yaguara Organic Cachaça over the muddled lime and sugar.
  4. Stir Well:
    Stir the mixture well to dissolve the sugar and blend the flavors.
  5. Add Ice:
    Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the Caipirinha.
  6. Stir Again:
    Give the cocktail a final stir to incorporate the ice and chill the drink.
  7. Serve:
    Present your Classic Caipirinha and enjoy the vibrant and citrusy flavor of Brazilian!
