Galloway Forager Cocktail

A taste of the Scottish Lowland's. A crisp, fresh, aromatic gin cocktail inspired by the natural beauty of Galloway


  • 50 ml Hills and Harbour Gin
  • 25 ml elderflower cordial
  • 10 ml simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • A squeeze of fresh pink grapefruit
  • Ice cubes
  • Pink grapefruit slice and sprig of Noble fir for garnish


  1. Prepare the Glass:
    Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes.
  2. Shake the Ingredients:
    In a cocktail shaker, combine Hills and Harbour Gin, a squeeze of grapefruit juice, elderflower cordial, and simple syrup (if using).
    Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Shake Well:
    Shake the ingredients vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill the mixture.
  4. Strain into the Glass:
    Strain the cocktail into the glass using a Hawthorne strainer to catch any ice shards.
  5. Garnish:
    Add the slice of grapefruit and sprig of fir to the glass.
  6. Serve:
    Present this zesty, aromatic taste of the Scottish Lowlands and enjoy.
