Bringing a taste of Italy to Orkney, this cocktail is inspired by the Italian Chapel on the islands, which was lovingly built and decorated by the Italian Prisoners of War who greatly aided the construction of the Churchill Barriers.
Ingredients
- 40 ml Aatta Gin
- 40 ml sweet vermouth
- 20 ml Amaro Averna
- 20 ml Amaro Montenegro
Method
- Combine: pour Aatta Gin, sweet vermouth, Amaro Averna and Amaro Montenegro into a glass.
- Mix: add ice and stir.
- Serve: pour over a clear rock ice cube.
- Garnish: add a lemon/orange peel and squirt zest over the top, then use the same peel to garnish.
- Enjoy a taste of Italy and Orkney!
